More about this item
This is a live Aloe Succulent Plant in a vintage studio pottery planter. The plant is in soil in a nursery pot inside, with decorative moss on top. It will ship exactly as shown on the photo (same plant as shown). You can also choose just the planter by itself, or just the succulent alone (message me).
The planter is pre-owned, but looks like new condition other than an ink mark on the base. It is a beautiful quality heavy studio pottery redware planter with a glossy green-beige / taupe colored glaze, with the base brown-colored clay showing color through on the edges of the piece. It does not have a drainage hole (although the succulent is in an inner plastic pot with drainage), and it has four feet on the base.
Size: the planter itself is 5.75 inches tall and almost 4.5 inches wide at the top (inside opening is 3.5 inches). It is 3 inches wide at the base.
This plant is a Tiger Tooth Aloe (its scientific name is Aloe Juvenna). It makes quite an easy-care house plant, and will enjoy a sunny windowsill or any other partial-sun / bright indirect light spot.
Tiger Tooth Aloe gets its name from the sharp-looking "teeth" that line the leaves. In fact, the "teeth" are quite soft to the touch. It has bright green triangular shaped pointed leaves, which get touched with yellow, gold and orange in good sun. It will produce a long spike of red-orange flowers in late fall or early winter.
Includes a succulent care card and plant ID.
