Stunning antique gold-painted Art Deco plate. Noritake, made in Japan, 1920's.
This lovely plate shows a golden bird (bird of paradise?) perched on a tree branch with colorful stylized flowers in red, yellow and blue, with curling twigs. Has a gold border all the way around.
The mark on the back of the plate, "Noritake M hand-painted made in Japan" indicates that it is from the 1920's Morimura phase of Noritake china.
Size: 8 inches across.
In excellent vintage condition. The plate has no cracks, chips or crazing. If you look closely at the painted areas there are a few signs of knife marks, but very little wear considering the plate's age.
