Wade Whimsies vintage ceramic figurine. This is a Lion lying down, yellow colored, marked "Wade England" on the base. This is from the Noah's Ark set.
Size: about 1.5 inches.
Pre-owned in good condition (it does have a bit of wear on nose and ear - see photos).
Each figurine is glazed ceramic manufactured in England by Wade.
Wade Pottery was started in England in the 1950's by George Wade, and are known for making a wide assortment of figurines, mostly little animals but also some people and other figures. These figurines were included in boxes of tea, and I even remember them in chocolate easter eggs as a little girl growing up in England.
