More about this item
This is an oval ironstone serving platter by Royal Staffordshire, a lovely example of vintage English china. It is the Sampler design by J&G. Meakin, England, which was produced in the 1960's.
Size: 12"L x 9.2"W
Condition: very good condition, no chips or cracks. It does have a few small marks in the glaze, and minor knife scratches on the surface (hard to see - just surface marks), due to age.
The design is blue on white, made to look like a cross-stitch needle art sampler, Delft inspired. It shows a vintage house façade, with a man and a woman in front, in garden setting.
