Vintage 1986 Metzke Pewter potpourri jar topper / lid. The design shows a Hummingbird in Trumpet Flowers.
Could also be used as a Small Footed Trivet or Coaster, or a jar candle topper.
Size: the maximum dimension is 4 inches. Fits a 2.5-3 inch jar.
The Metzke Company was located in Tallahassee, Florida and closed its doors in 1997. All their pewter was made in their facilities in Florida.
This item is pre-owned and in excellent condition. No visible wear.
It is marked on the underneath "Metzke 1986"
The last photo shows an example of the topper sitting on a pottery jar that I have (jar not included). It could be used as a cover on any bowl or jar that is 2.5 to 3 inches wide.
