This is a vintage ceramic crock by The Haldon Group in Japan. It is marked 1991 Haldon Group on the base. It has a lovely design of two black roosters with the word "Pate", and green handles.
This would have been intended to hold pate, and it would have been sold originally with a lid and a plate to set the crock on. This listing is just for the crock alone, without a lid or plate.
It could be used as rooster decor in the kitchen, to hold utensils, or as a condiment / jam / sugar server, filled with candies, or use as an upcycled vase or planter.
Size: almost 4" tall and 4.5" wide including the handles. The interior diameter is just over 3".
In excellent condition with no chips or cracks or visible paint wear. Some wear on the base due to age.
