More about this item

This is a live house plant, hand planted in an upcycled Gray Owl mug planter.

This coffee mug is pre-owned, in excellent condition.  No chips or cracks or crazing, Doesn't look like it has been used on the inside.  Just a little wear on the base from sitting on a shelf. It is 4.25" tall, and about 4" at widest point (not counting the handle).  It is made of glazed ceramic

The plant is a live fully rooted Peperomia Obtusifolia (also called Baby Rubber Plant or Green Peperomia) with soil. The plant is in a plastic nursery planter (with drainage) that sits inside the mug, so it is easy to remove for watering or replace etc.

Peperomia Obtusifolia has shiny, emerald green leaves that are quite thick & firm, almost fat. Peperomia plants are considered to be semi-succulent - they are somewhat drought tolerant in that they like the soil to dry out well before being watered again. They are happy to be watered every 1 to 2 weeks. They are native to tropical areas, such as South Florida and Central America, where they are found on the forest floor.  So they like dappled / partial sunlight conditions.

This will be a small rooted plant, shipped with soil in a 2" plastic pot inside the ceramic mug.

Includes plant ID and care card.

I am happy to include gift message or wrapping.  I can also plant this mug with other options, such as succulents or airplants - submit a custom request or message me for options.
